Law Day Celebration 2024 is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, 2024. This annual celebration will recognize local attorneys and judges within the Second Judicial Circuit, for their outstanding contributions! This year’s event will present some of the most prestigious pro bono awards to those in the legal community.
As is tradition, all attorneys in attendance who have given their time and experience to Pro Bono cases will be presented with a challenge coin in recognition of their service. They are the reason we gather and the difference in our community for many low income and vulnerable clients. Our speakers and our program will reflect on the American Bar Association’s 2024 Law Day theme “Voices of Democracy”.

Join us for two back-to-back CLEs and learn about acquiring, authenticating, and leveraging electronic evidence for trial from Lorena Vollrath-Bueno, VP of Education & Engagement at the National District Attorney Association. Drawing from nearly two decades of prosecuting experience, she offers insights into acquiring electronic evidence, ensuring its admissibility, and optimizing its use in court proceedings, supported by case law and real-world anecdotes. Additionally, Chuck Bowen, Senior Counsel/Privacy Officer at Citizens Insurance, and Fred Karlinsky, Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, explores the necessity of insurance coverage for data breaches in the legal sector. In an era fraught with cyber threats, they examine whether lawyers and firms should secure insurance against potential breaches, highlighting key considerations for safeguarding sensitive information.
